Coriolis Mass Flow Meter From Silver Automation Instruments
Quick Answer: Silver Automation Instruments builds Coriolis mass flow meters for direct mass flow and density measurement. We cover pipe sizes from DN01 up to DN300. Send us your flow range, pressure, temperature, and pipe size and we will return a quote with a data sheet within 24 hours.
What Our Coriolis Meters Measure
A Coriolis mass flow meter reads mass flow directly. It does not need temperature and pressure compensation. The meter also reports density and temperature at the same time. This matters for batching, blending, custody transfer, and reactor feed control.
We have supplied Coriolis mass flow meters to a palm oil refinery in Malaysia, a dairy processor in Victoria, a brine injection skid in Oman, and a chemical distributor in Brazil. Each job had different pipe sizes, pressures, and communication needs.
Model Range and Pipe Sizes
Our standard Coriolis series covers DN01, DN02, DN04, DN08, DN15, DN25, DN40, DN50, DN80, DN100, DN150, DN200, and DN300. Flow spans start from 0 to 40 kg/h on the smallest sensor and go up to 0 to 1,000,000 kg/h on the largest.
Process connections include tri-clamp, ANSI 150 to 600 flanges, DIN PN16 to PN40 flanges, and threaded connections. Wetted parts are 316L stainless steel as standard. Hastelloy C22 is available for corrosive fluids. Titanium is an option for seawater and brine service.
Electronics and Outputs
The transmitter supports 4-20 mA HART, pulse, Modbus RTU, and RS485. That covers most PLC and DCS systems in oil and gas, water treatment, food plants, and chemical sites. The local display shows mass flow, volume flow, density, temperature, and totalizer at the same time.
Power supply is 24 V DC or 85 to 265 V AC depending on the transmitter version. Accuracy on liquids is ±0.1 percent of rate for mass flow. Density accuracy is ±0.0005 g/cm³. Repeatability is better than ±0.05 percent.
Applications We See Every Month
Batching of resins and solvents. A paint manufacturer in Southeast Asia replaced volumetric dosing with our DN15 Coriolis meter. They now batch by mass instead of volume. Batch repeatability improved because mass does not change with temperature.
Compressed natural gas dispensing. CNG stations in Pakistan and Bangladesh use our DN15 and DN25 Coriolis meters on dispenser skids. The meter gives kg delivered directly. The customer sends the 4-20 mA signal to the station controller.
Food and beverage dosing. A juice concentrate plant in Queensland adds flavours at 5 to 50 kg/h. Our DN04 meter handles that range. The tri-clamp connection fits the existing sanitary line. CIP cleaning is no problem because the meter has no moving parts.
Desalination brine flow. A seawater desalination plant in Chile needed a meter for brine rejection lines. Titanium wetted parts resist the chloride levels. The meter reports density, so the operator can track salinity trends without a separate analyser.
Fuel oil consumption on ships. Marine engineers in Singapore install our DN40 Coriolis meters on fuel oil supply lines. The meter passes the vibration requirements on board. Output goes to the engine room monitoring system via Modbus RTU.
Why Mass Flow Instead of Volume Flow
Volume changes with temperature and pressure. Mass does not. This is why we tell customers who buy diesel, LPG, bitumen, or edible oil to look at a Coriolis meter first. You pay for kilograms. You should measure kilograms.
A volume meter plus a separate density meter costs more in the long run. Two instruments, two calibrations, two potential failure points. A Coriolis meter combines them into one sensor. That is the whole value proposition.
Installation Notes From the Field
Coriolis meters do not need long straight runs. You can install one right after an elbow or a pump. That saves space on crowded skids. Most engineers skip this part until they see the piping layout.
We recommend a zero

For gas applications, keep the pressure above 10 bar if possible. Low pressure gas has less mass per volume. The signal gets weaker. We have seen this on customer sites many times. It is not a meter problem. It is a physics limit.
Pressure Drop and Viscosity
Pressure drop depends on flow rate, density, viscosity, and pipe size. For DN25 at 3,000 kg/h of water, expect around 0.8 bar drop. For 200 cP syrup, drop rises. Tell us your product and viscosity in cP and we will check the model for you.
We have supplied meters for heavy fuel oil at 380 cSt, chocolate at 2,000 cP, and yogurt at 800 cP. Each one was sized differently. Do not guess the pressure drop. Give us the viscosity and flow range.
Approvals and Hazardous Area
The standard transmitter is IP67 rated. Explosion proof versions carry ATEX Zone 1, IECEx, and NEPSI certification. Intrinsically safe versions are available for Zone 0 applications.
If your site requires SIL 2 or SIL 3, we can quote the safety certified version. The certificate package includes FMEDA data. This matters for burner management systems and overfill protection loops.
Price Range and Lead Time
A small DN15 Coriolis mass flow meter with 4-20 mA HART output starts around AUD 4,200. Larger DN50 models start around AUD 7,800. Titanium and Hastelloy versions cost more. Lead time for standard 316L versions is 2 to 3 weeks from our Nanjing factory.
We ship to Australia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East every week. Freight to Sydney or Melbourne takes 5 to 7 days by air. Sea freight takes 3 to 4 weeks and suits larger orders.
How to Get a Quote
Send us these details and we will return a selection with price and data sheet. We need the fluid name, flow range in kg/h or t/h, operating pressure in bar, operating temperature in °C, pipe size in DN, process connection type, and required output signal.

Most quotes go out within one business day. If you have a drawing or a photo of the existing installation, send it along. It helps us check the face to face length and connection standard before you order.
FAQ
Which industries use Silver Instruments Coriolis meters? Oil and gas, water and wastewater, chemical, food and beverage, marine, and pharmaceutical plants. We sell direct to end users and to distributors who serve these sectors in Southeast Asia, Oceania, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
What is the smallest flow range you can measure? Our DN01 sensor measures down to 0.5 kg/h on liquid. That suits pilot plants, additive dosing, and laboratory skids. The meter still reports density and temperature at that low flow.
Can the meter handle two phase flow? Coriolis meters can tolerate short slugs of gas in liquid lines. The transmitter keeps reading during aeration. For continuous two phase flow, discuss the application with us first. We may suggest a different sensor design.
Do you offer calibration certificates? Yes. Every meter ships with a factory calibration certificate for mass flow and density. The certificate shows the test results traceable to national standards.
What is the warranty on your Coriolis mass flow meters? Standard warranty is 18 months from shipment. We stock spare transmitters and sensor parts in our warehouse. Most replacement parts ship within 48 hours.
